6 Tips: How to take 'aesthetic' photos on your phone *OUTDOOR EDITION*

Have you ever been in a situation where your outdoors, and you look around to see the sun shining on the leaves, your hair flowing with the wind, and you wish your eyes could take a photo of the simple aspects that seem so beautiful in your eyes. You grab your phone and try to take a photo of a leaf with the sunset in the background, but when you look at the photo you don't feel the magic within the photo. I know exactly how that feels like. Honestly, our phone cameras aren't THE best, but here are some tips to help your photos capture some magic(no filters allowed!)

1. Focus

Focusing on objects, or even people can really make the main part of the picture stand out. Take this waterbottle-when I took a picture of it from far away, it did'nt catch my eyes unlike the one to the right which shows the closer details of water and my driveway, with a faint blur of trees behind it

2. Different Angles

Like the previous one, standing in one place will not guarantee a good picture. That's why you see photographers squatting, jumping, and even lying down on the floor to find different angles.

3.Reflections/Windows

Taking reflections, like the ones here, are also a great way to focus on an object. It creates two viewpoints within one picture.
4.The Sky
This one is not really a tip...more like a personal preference because I absolutely love taking pictures of sunsets and the clouds. They're really simple and require no skill whatsoever.
5.Cropping
Sometimes cropping or zooming in on an object, like these shoes, can be intriguing to someone who looks at the picture first glance.

6.Background

Background is really important too...take the yellow flowers.. the contrast brick wall behind it really adds to the picture, and helps the flowers stand out. Try imagining the flowers with a purple background, or photo frame behind it. It would look different, right?

These 6 tips could improve your photos, try them out when you're bored! I'm not a professional at photography, but different things like focus, background, and angles can help anyone no matter what camera. Hope this helps!
